2008 11th Place Apostle Island 8 Dog Pro

Our handler Elizabeth ran this team and did a great job with them. She was to look at Hudson and Crash as candidates for our upcoming UP 200 team. Our 8th dog was on loan from Dave Turner, which was Emma. She did a good job for Elizabeth once she settled in to the new environment.

Colleen moved right along, ended up with some tender feet though. She will be running on our 12 dog string for the upcoming UP 200.

Elizabeth said Gimli was a trooper the whole weekend. He was placed on the second team because he was a bit down and out from the Beargrease. He needed the break. It appears it was a good decision. He will make the UP 200 team.

Sparrow was steady, steady, steady. She will make the UP 200 team. She eats and drinks exceptionally and we are looking forward to having her on our 12 dog string.

Ricky came through. She is an amazing little dog with a great attitude, but this distance is her max. She did great both days. Never hit her wall.

Crash struggled a bit during this race on the second day. He came off his water and food and threw up a bit on the second day. He is in good spirits now. We are looking at him to compliment the 12 dog string for the upcoming UP 200.
