2014 4th Place Tahquamenon 8 Dog Pro Team

14" of snow fell the night before the race. We had a 1.5 hour delay so they could put the trail in that morning. It was a very slow slog! Had some trouble in the chute, so left a little after my designated time. Very tough trail, but the dogs just worked their butts off and took us to a 4th place finish. Really picked it up at the end, trying to catch Frank Holmberg for 13 miles. Finished less than 2 minutes out of 3rd. Very proud of my team and my young leaders!

This is the first time he wasn't in lead in a race since his yearling year. It was time to let the younger faster dogs lead the team. He did awesome back in team and worked his butt off!

He did super and worked his butt off like usual! Was gonna run him in lead if Tuba had to be taken out, but didn't need to. Finished happy and wagging his tail, like usual.

He lead the whole race & was awesome! First race as main leader and did not disappoint! Drove hard and loped almost the whole run through that very soft trail. Really picked up the pace of the team at the end.

His 2nd race ever and ran lead the entire race with Poppy. What a great dog!! He was a little hesitant on the tight passing, but otherwise did a super job!
