Cindy was one of the best leaders of all time in the kennel. At 2.5 she and brother Commander helped Rick Mackey to place 2nd in the Yukon Quest, the following year they did the majority of the leading and won the Quest. Cindy was incredibly smart and in single lead she was perfect control, much like her mother Dolly. Cindy loved to run, had beautiful feet, and always wanted to eat. Purchased for $2500 at the age of 2 from Sue Firmin. Cindy and Commander were part of a litter split between DeeDee and Sue. Sue only had a handful of dogs and sold her best, but very young leaders to my dad, who had leased and raced their mother Dolly for many Iditarods. Dolly was a very prominent leader of her era.
