Elroy was DeeDee's winning leader in the Alpirod and 2nd place Iditarod leader in the 1993 Iditarod. Elroy was the father to Rick's Commander and Cindy as well as DeeDee's Commander. Rick's two leaders earning first in the 1997 Quest as well as 2nd, 3rd, and 7th, then 6th in Iditarod. They also won several mid-distance race. DeeDee's Commander helped her take 2nd in the 1998 Iditarod and 4th in 1997.
