Merrill Winterfest Merrill, WI January 27-28, 2018 10 Dog B Class, 6.9 miles 6th out of 7 teams. 1st in B class. Only team with 7 dogs. Trail was shortened due to ice. Day 2 cancelled due to icy conditions. Honestly, I have never been more scared on a sled. I stopped to help a musher who lost her team. I was on the drag pad when my leaders broke through the trail and the point dogs overran them so Jax and Ducky lost confidence. I had to stop and change them up with Ziva and Falen. They pulled the hook. We picked up the pace after this but I was still on full drag pad. In the long run, my goals were met. Cyr and Mather ran their first race and extra socializing. We finished.
