Spark is a super leader. An incredibly intelligent leader. Our main starting and finishing leader for many years. By the age 3 we could fully rely on Spark to take charge and steer the team as a main leader. Guiding younger leaders around loose dogs and other obstacles with complete focus. He was incredibly focused as an intense yearling quickly picking up on leader commands as all Salt's pups do. He works hard and never misses a beat. As a two year old Spark performed like a champ in his first races. Spark finished his first race while setting a record in the toughest 200 in the state, breaking trail over summits in the fresh snow. I've never seen a more sure footed leader in high stress situations- glare ice bubbled river outside of Rohn where Aily got hurt, the Dazell Gorge, and navigating the mighty Kuskokwim River.
