Northern Pines Sled Dog Race, Iron River, WI, Unlimited/Open Class, 16.2 miles. We went head to head against larger teams with our crew of 8 on what was a punchy/unpredictable course, and pulled off an eventful win. Noni and Ella did an extraordinary job up front, with the troopers laying into it steady behind. This was a fun and unique race with its one day format and a cross-section of kennel genres (Mid-distance, Stage Stop, Sprint) all colliding and competing together. We plan to come back again in the future.
