Jeff King wrote about Lindy:
Fantastic. Extremely athletic. Very smooth trot and pace. Comfortable lope. Happy to run. Not at all shy, but really could care less about humans. Never injured. Very occasional sore wrist. Excellent feet and well furred throughout. I do not believe I have ever dropped this dog from any race, and it would include every major race I have run in the last couple of years. Very unusual for him to be drawn into a fight. Lots of power but also lots of controlled pulling. Often barks with happiness for several miles at beginning of most runs, including leaving Ruby in 06 Iditarod. We bred him last summer and the pups look good at this point.
Lindy's father is Uksi (means to drink (water) in Inupiaq (eskimo language)) Also called Yuksi.
Uksi was Jeff's main leader for many years.
Uksi's father, Sven, was a lead dog when Jeff won the 1995 Iditarod.
Uksi is the father of 9 of the 12 dogs that finished in the 2006 Iditarod winning team and is grandfather to the remaining 3 dogs.
Lindy's mother, Jody, is after Sandy Saunderson's legendary stud dog Victor.
Jody is also from Jeff King's very best breeding stock. 7 out of 12 dogs who finished in the 2006 Iditarod winning team are out of Jody or her littermates (Alberta, Demi and Romeo)
Lindy's brother, Rumba, is one of the dogs that finished on the 2006 Iditarod winning team.
Jeff King has used both Lindy and Rumba for breeding his own females.
